In the southwest of Saarbrücken, right on the French border at the Goldene Bremm, the Franco-German Garden was laid out in 1960 on former Westwall fortifications - a symbol of reconciliation between the two countries.

Today the park offers landscaped gardens, a lake with a cable car, playgrounds, a miniature railway and the illuminated evenings of the Saarbrücken Festival of Lights. It is the city's favorite green space for families.
