The Cloef Viewpoint
The classic view of the Saar Loop - from the 180-meter-high cliff near Orscholz.
The Cloef is the classic viewpoint over the Saar Loop, perched on a cliff some 180 meters above the river near Orscholz.
From the railing you look straight down on the near-perfect bend the Saar carves through the forested hills - the single most photographed scene in the Saarland. The neighboring treetop walk and several hiking trails let you extend the visit into a full outing.
